Today, key players in politics, business and research need contextual knowledge for their decisions. Those who wish to generate innovation while also minimizing risks, require an interdisciplinary undestanding of economic and political conditions.

This subject will introduce students to the interactions of politics and business with science and technology. The focus on politics will deal especially with science as a source for policy consulting, as well as with participation in scientific and technological decision-making; the focus on business will revolve primarily around collaborative innovation and innovation policy.
