What
The Marburg-based DFG-funded research project “Responsible Science” invites you to reflect on and discuss your understanding of responsibility in science!
Considering current crises and profound social transformations, the question of responsibility is becoming increasingly relevant for scientists. Mathematics and computer science are also affected by the challenges of our time, such as digitalization and AI, and raise questions about our scientific self-image and understanding of responsibility.
Who
The research project examines the perspectives and interpretations of scientific and social responsibility at various universities, disciplines, and across different generations, and how these have evolved over generations.
The project is aimed at scientists
• of different generations (born before 1979, between 1980 and 1994, and after 1995)
• from the School of Social Science and Technology.
