Afterwards participants are aware about the importance of Munich during the National Socialism as a place of foundation of NSDAP. In addition they will be able to relate to the change of topography of the former district 'Parteiviertel'.
Description
The seminar analyses Munich’s importance for the history of National Socialism. Participants get to know the permanent exhibition of the Munich Documentation Center. It traces the path from the founding of the Nazi Party in 1919 through to the elaborate staging of power in Munich as the ‘capital of the movement’ during the regime phase. The seminar looks at the majority society, at structures and individuals, but also considers the repercussions for the persecuted.
Furthermore participants can search for selected topics on their own at an interactive Learning Centre.
